Workshops at DJam

You can expect 8 hours of workshops in your core tracks in Lindy Hop, Balboa, and Jazz. Beginner Lindy Hop will get 5 hours of workshops plus 2 hours of supervised practice where a teacher is available for any help or advice.

There are also many hours of taster workshops.

How does it work?

  1. Choose your Core Tracks in Lindy Hop, Balboa or Jazz when you register.
  2. Choose your Taster Classes when you're at DJam

A core track is a style of dance you wish to focus on during the DJam weekend. Here's an example: if you've booked for Lindy Hop Intermediate, this means you:

  1. have a place in Lindy Hop Intermediate
  2. can turn up to any taster class or seminar without the need to book
  3. cannot take part in other core track classes eg Balboa

This system allows you to:

  1. have a definite place in your chosen core track
  2. try taster classes subject to space availability

There are so many classes going on at any point so you should be able to find at least one class you like!

How to Get the Most out of Your Classes

  1. Some of the classes are scheduled as double or even triple classes. Please join in at the beginning of the first class. There will be a very short break at a convenient point as decided by the teachers before they continue into the second  or third part. Please do not join in part-way through. However, you can leave the class during the break.
  2. You can choose to do as much or as little as you like but please check that your chosen classes are suitable for your level.
  3. There is a huge amount on the schedule but please look after yourselves. It's like a huge feast but you don't need to eat it all!

Check your level here.
