What People Say about DJam
Just wanted to thank you for such an amazing weekend, it truly exceeded my expectations. You should be so proud that you have firmly placed Durham on the Lindy hop map of the world. It’s no longer a just a small local event but an International swing dance camp in the truest form. Your uniqueness is because you promote ‘home grown teachers’- you ensure that the partnerships are the right match and the people come because you promote warmth and friendliness which radiates out to all. You're right to keep DJam as it is, not too big so it keeps its personal approach and everyone gets to know each other quickly. It was great to have such good people in the advance level as they really raised the standard and inspired others. It’s also nourishing to have the beginners who are full of excitement and want to learn everything, after all they are the advanced dancers of the future. I had many a chat with students in the beginner level over lunch and dinner and they commented on how much they were learning and were very comfortable at the camp which is a major plus because camps for them can be so intimidating.

DJam is one of the friendliest large dance events we've been to and Joo-Lee always goes the extra mile to ensure everyone has a great time. I loved having the accomodation and event in one place. The Durham dancers are always incredibly welcoming We like the variety of classes, like Lindy-robics. It's like a big camp with a small-town feel.
The whole weekend was a joy to be part of. Our Teachers deserve a special mention for being so amusing and entertaining in their delivery of instruction. The event was extremely well planned, organised and relaxed. Most of all it was a most friendly atmosphere to relax and dance in. Thanks to you all - I thoroughly enjoyed myself and will recommend DJam to others.

"Djam: We just brought our clothes, our shoes, our deodorant and our enthusiasm; we went home with new skills, new friends, great memories and more enthusiasm than we started with. ADDICTION WARNING - One visit to Djam will not be enough . . ."
I would like to say how much we enjoyed DJam 10. DJam is small enough to be friendly and big enough to provide lots of interesting classes. There were dancers of varying abilities, high quality teaching and lots of room to social dance. We were so impressed we would like to pre-register for next year please !!!

Durham is a good choice for the DJam event - it is very attractive, charming, compact and so very easy to pop out to tour the Cathedral/shops in a short time. Congratulations on a very successful event.
